Rant
and Rave: Rave—The
new Sweet Mint-flavored gum from Orbit— Actually, "sweet mint" is only the second-best description of what the gum tastes like. When I first opened the pack and caught a whiff of the smell, it reminded me of something else that I couldn't put my finger on. Then I popped a piece in my mouth, and the first thought that came into my head was "Christmas." At the time, I couldn't be any more specific than that. But now, having had a couple of weeks to think about it, I've finally figured it out: the gum tastes exactly like candy canes. It's a little bit sweet and a little bit minty, but not too much of either. I like it a lot. And while I'm sure it tastes great even in July, right now, it's the perfect gum for the season. |
