Rant
and Rave: Rave—"Train," one of the new Citibank commercials—If you haven't seen this commercial yet, I apologize, but it's just so damn funny. It's one of the few commercials that actually makes me laugh out loud when I think about it. In fact, just today, me and two of my classmates were literally in tears as we shared our impressions of it. The message is clear, and one we've all been waiting to hear: there is a bank that will allow you to talk to an agent simply by pressing "0," without having to maneuver through a digital maze (as we've become so accustomed to these days). To make the point, we get to ride along with a man commuting to work as he tries to negotiate his bank's automated system. Any further description would not do the commercial justice, so I won't even try. Of course, now that I've built it up, you probably won't even laugh...at least maybe not until much later. In any case, here it is, for your viewing pleasure. |
