In no particular order:

  1. American III: Solitary Man, Johnny Cash - Pure heartbreaking stuff.
  2. American IV: When the Man Comes Around, Johnny Cash - Hear Rick Rubin talk about his collaboration with Cash on Fresh Air With Terry Gross.
  3. Original Pirate Material, The Streets - The Streets's debut, less comercial than the second album, much more gritty and truthful.
  4. Boy In Da Corner, Dizzee Rascal - Dizzee Rascal is the bomb. He won a Mercury Music Award (very high calibre music press award given once a year in the UK); aged just seventeen for his debut.
  5. Up The Bracket, The Libertines
  6. Franz Ferdinand, Franz Ferdinand
  7. Hope and Fears, Keane
  8. Up All Night, Razorlight
  9. Who Killed The Zutons, The Zutons
  10. So Much For The City, The Thrills
  11. The Coral, The Coral - A slice of Liverpool genius; don't touch their second record, though.
